Everlyne Moraa or Monna as you may know her moved to Nairobi in search of greener pastures. Just like many who come to do so in Nairobi, for her she found a calling and an urge wanting to be part of shaping conversations of the urban youth through events. She is the founder and C.E.O of Swazuri Events. Recently she had her first ever magazine interview on Daily Nation, Saturday Magazine under Girl Talk. You can read it here too.

Muthoni Njoba who was our guest speaker at Girl Power last month isn't a starnger to consistency as well. This is her 9th year in Make up. Her journey started long ago from when she quit her well paying job at Centum for her to pursue her passion as an artist.

To any person struggling with wanting to quit along the way, please hold on. Where there is a will, there is a way. We have to start from somewhere in life and build ourselves one step at a time. With social media i know rarely do we acknowledge that the going gets tough and say how much we are failing but best believe, no one is sharing their failures online. Draft your goals: short term and long term. Work every day of your life towards achieving what it is you want. Remember the 10,000 hour rule, there is no short cut my friend.

Girl Power 10th edition

Stay winning,

Monna Moraa.
